Social Skills Connect is a Melbourne-based practice led by Katherine Van Eede, delivering positive behaviour support through the DIR®/Floortime™ model — for participants, families and the networks around them.
About the practice
Katherine Van Eede brings two decades across primary education, special education and behavioural support to every plan she writes. She works alongside participants, families, schools and care teams to understand the why behind behaviour and build skills that last.
Sessions are play-led, evidence-based, and grounded in the DIR®/Floortime™ model — a developmental, relationship-based approach with decades of research behind it.

The approach
DIR®/Floortime™ meets each participant where they are. We follow their lead, build on shared moments, and grow the social-emotional foundations that make every other skill possible — communication, regulation, relationships, learning.
It's evidence-based, deeply human, and it lets families do the work in the way that fits their child best.
